On our second day of our mini honeymoon, we decided to go to a few wineries just outside of Sedona in Cottonwood, Arizona. It was about a 20-25 minute drive which went pretty quickly!
Our first stop was to D.A Ranch. The property was SOOO cute! They even had a donkey and at least 50 goats, plus one lone sheep lol.
The donkeys name was Nestor, and he actually moseyed right up to the fence so we could pet him!
The outdoor area also had a little pond and an area where you could eat and enjoy your wine and enjoy the view. And we cannot forget about the horse shoe either! Of course Eli had to play a few rounds š
The wine was pretty good here as well, but they were currently experiencing a production shortage so we could not buy any bottle to go, unfortunately.
After D.A Ranch we went to Oak Creek Winery which was literally right down the street. We sat outside on their outdoor patio and both did the tastings. Eli did the red flight and I did the white. The wine here was really good too! I think we bought at least 2 bottles at this spot.
Last on the list we went to Page Springs Winery. This place is super cute and is right on the creek! You have to stay at the hotel or buy a tour to go down there unfortunately, but the property is still really nice, and they also have a restaurant on site as well.
We split the pizza and some appetizers and did our tastings while eating our lunch.
I think we both prefer to do tastings separate from lunch (because it gets a little crowded and overwhelming when you are trying to eat lunch and they keep coming over to explain the next wine to you haha), but it is still a cool experience!
Plus you can pretty much never have a bad time while you are wine tasting, right? š
We headed back to our rental house after that to relax and get ready for dinner at Dahl and Deluca, which is an Italian restaurant in Sedona. It reminded me of those old school Italian type restaurants. The food was pretty good, but not amazing.
I will get into our FAVORITE place we visited on this trip later on š
